WhatsApp video calling feature finally added: How to start it
Its been so long that I haven’t heard a WhatsApp feature update news.Tuesday 15th Nov, 2016, got the news, “WhatsApp video calling feature finally launched”.It was must do a thing for Whatsapp because of competition from Apple’s Facetime, Microsoft’s Skype and Google’s Duo.
Whatsapp Video calling feature is rolling out to the users worldwide now.If you are running the latest version of WhatsApp, Video calling option will show up. Whatsapp Video calling is now available on Android, iOS, and Windows.
To run video calling tap on the telephone receiver icon that appears on the upper side when you open a WhatsApp chat.You will get two option – Voice call and Video Call. It is similar to voice call feature and free too unless you are on a wifi.
If it is not running, wait for the update and get it updated. If you can’t wait to play it and want it right now on your smartphone, download Whatsapp beta version of and sign up.
Before downloading the beta version keep in mind that this feature could run only if both the parties have WhatsApp video calling feature.
Follow these steps to get WhatsApp video calling right now.
- Open Google Play and search for WhatsApp
- Open WhatsApp’s on Google Play listing
- Scroll down towards the bottom of the page
- Become a beta tester box will appear tap on I’M IN
- Confirm on the next screen and wait for a few minutes
- Come back to WhatsApp page on Google Play
- An option should be available to Update WhatsApp to beta version
- Update the app
